There were exciting results from two European venues today. In Maribor, Slovenia, the Irish team competed in the Division 2 of the European Team championships where they finished in 5th place. The 4×400 mixed relay with Cliodhna Manning running on the team were 2nd in their heat and 4th overall helping on the points table.
Meanwhile the younger athletes were in action in the Junior Gala in Mannheim, Germany with outstanding results. Pia Langton took first in the 800 in 2.07.55. Alex Cullen had a PB when finishing 2nd in the 400 (47.37) and then ran the first leg of the 4×400. The team finished in first place and in addition set a new national record of 3.08.31. Molly Daly ran the second leg of the 4×100 helping the team to a second place finish.
