The club had many great performances at the national Indoor championships in Athlone this weekend. U12 Jasmine Timmons McEneaney was in top form. Winning her 60m heat with a PB of 8.83 she struck gold in the final with another PB of 8.65. In the Under 13s we had Ellen Daly. On Saturday she finished the 60m in 6th place (PB 8.57) and on Sunday she made the 60m hurdles her own. With a PB of 9.99 she won the gold. We had two athletes taking part in the Under 15 events. Ruth Crowley placed 11th in the High jump and clocked 8.86 for the 60m. Ellen Daly was 7th in the 60m and had a PB of 9.62 when finishing 4th in the final of the 60m hurdles.

We had four under 16 athletes competing. Louie Raggett had silver in the high jump with a clearance of 1.65. Pia Langton won bronze in the 800m her time was 2.20.99. Patrick Lacey completed the 200m in 25.32 and Ella Wall was 11th in the high jump(1.45). As with the under 16s we had four athletes competing under 17. Ruairi McEvoy ran the 1500 (4.38.80). Adam Slawinski competed in 60m – placing 6th in 7.33 PB and the 200m – placing 5th in 23.81 PB. Alex Cullen was also competing in two events – the high jump where he won bronze with 1.75 and the 60m hurdles where he finished 8th in 9.19 PB. Louisa Gilmore ran a fine 800m. Hanging back for most of the race she careered through the field to win silver in 2.19.17 PB.

Amelia Foley had 28.37 in her 200m under 18 and Mateusz Balcer won silver in the high jump with a 1.70 clearance.
