David FitzGerald, Mayor, held a civic reception in The Town Hall this evening in honour of KCH celebrating it’s 70th birthday. There were speeches by the mayor, Pat FitzPatrick, chairman county council, John Maye, chairman KCH, and Nicholas Dunphy, 70th committee.
The function was attended by athletes (past and present – including olympians Emily Maher and Eileen O’Keeffe), parents, coaches and a number of public officials. Certificates in recognition of long and dedicated service to athletics were presented by the mayor to May Hutt and Sean Lynch.
Refreshments were served and Vicki Comerford did the photos.
