Day 2 of the County Kilkenny Track and Field Championships proved another successful day for the club. There were over 80 individual medals won by club members – over thirty being gold and twelve relay teams won medals – five taking first place. Special mention for the U14 boys whose relay teams came first, second and third. Two U16 athletes claimed three gold medals on the day – Jack O’Neill in Long jump, triple jump and javelin and Kelly Charters in 100m, high jump and shot. Double gold medal winners were Cormac Holden 400m and 100m hurdles; Niamh Spratt O’Shea Weight for Distance and Discus in O/50 and Graham Bourne in long jump and 800m O/50. The Under 16 girls had a clean sweep in the 1500m with 1 Amelia O’Brien, 2 Katie Byrne, 3 Emily O’Keeffe. The Under 13 boys did likewise in the 200m with Conor Laurence Delaney, Zachery Marc and Daniel Quinn.

Under 13 – Conor Laurence Delaney, 200m; Aaron Tyrell, 800m; Daniel McIntyre, long jump; Zachery Marc, Javelin. Under 14 – Beibhinn O’Brien, 80m; Casey Cleere, 800m. Under 15 – Sam Woodcock, 800m; Marcus Lyons, 200m. Under 16 -Aidan Malone 200m; Maria Kraljevic, 400m; Landon Ryan, Weight for Distance. Under 17 – Ana Mayono, Long Jump.
