The Irish relay squads were in Gabarone, Botswana, competing against the world’s best with a view to getting qualification for the World Relay championships. Our own Molly Daly was on the panel and running the third leg of the 4×400 on Saturday the team placed 4th bringing them into Sunday’s repechage where they duly gained qualification. Wearing the Irish singlet in senior competition Molly made it the third generation of her family to represent Ireland in international athletic competition. She follows in the footsteps of her mother Fiona Norwood, her father Rob Daly and grandfather Robert Norwood.
