The weather once again proved good for Day 3 of the county track and field. Our athletes also proved good with medals being won in all ages from Robert Cullen, silver in 200m under 9 to Karen Nugent, revisiting her former juvenile speciality – the javelin, who took home silver in the senior event. Top performer on the day was Rory McGabahnn with wins in junior 400 and high jump. It was good to see Daire Murray back in competition with a win in the 1500m under 16. There were 1500m wins also for Cathal Kearney under 17 and Ella Richardson under 19.
