A number of our “younger athletes” got exposure to some development experiences at the PAIRS championships in Tullamore today.
The under 9s in action were as follows :- 300m – 12th Feidhelm Norry and Matthew Healy. Betty Carroll ran the distance in 59.92. In the 60m sprints Hannah Murphy and Ruby Foster were 12th; Betty Carroll and Maeve Buckley were 16th. Hazel O’Gorman and Matthew Healy ran as individuals. In the long jump we had Ruby Foster and Hannah Murphy in 1oth place. Maeve Buckley and Hazel O’Gorman were 20th. Feidhelm had an individual jump of 3.05.
The under 10s:- 500m- Niamh Hoyne and Eva Robinson were 9th and Joannie O’Toole ran as an individual. Long jump – Niamh Hoyne and Olivia Foster were 7th. Eva Robinson and Nicholas Burke competed individually. Turbo Javelin – Olivia Foster and Joannie O’Toole placed 6th.
The under 11s:- 600m – Summer Nova Molloy (2.28.12). 60m sprint – Amenze Victor and Florence O’Donoghue, 3rd (19.46), Holly Quinn and Grace Cuddihy 19th (20.49). Long Jump – Jonah Cleere and Ollie Direen 7th (6.49); Holly Quinn and Grace Cuddihy 11th (6.33); Harry Comerford and Henry Treyer 18th (5.63). FlorenceDonohoe went as an individual in Turbo Javelin and threw 8.91.
