The bulk of the U12 and U13 Leinster track and field championships were held in Tullamore today in conjunction with the Leinster Pairs. Great results for Conor Laurence Delaney and Aaron Tyrrell with gold in high jump and 600m respectively. The events held and results were as follows:-
600m – U12 Eddie Kemple 11th; U13 Aaron Tyrell 1st (1.43.18), Danel Quinn 11th.
Sprints – U12 60m Lucy Maher 24th, Isabelle Hoyne 31st and Roisin Hyland 34th. U13 80m Conor Laurence Delaney 14th, Aaron Tyrrell 29th, Sam Cuddihy 31st.
High Jump – U12 Roisin Hyland 2nd (1.20). U13 Conor Laurence Delaney 1st (1.46), Aoibhin Hyland 3rd (1.41), Daniel McIntyre 5th and Daniel Quinn 10th.
Shot Putt – U13 Robbie Chandley 13th and Aaron Tyrrell 14th.
There were bronze medals for Daniel Quinn and Conor Laurence Delaney on the County Kilkenny 4x100m relay.
