The Leinster Even Ages cross countrn y cut new ground this year as 1200myoung athletes converged on The Mountain View golf club today hosted by St Senan’s AC. The greenkeepers hadn’t been active for awhile so the under 12s had to knock a bit of grass as the went about their business. the weather behaved until the under 18 girls race when rain driven by wind put a dampner on things. However that can be expected in late October. Our athletes did well with a few getting through to the nationals in Santry on 21st November. Cathal O’Reilly was in fine form and took the gold in the Junior Men’s race . Well done all.
Results:- Under 12 girls – 7th club with 6 Sinead Cormack, 57 Ellen Cormack, 59 Kara Canavan, 61 Faye Moore. Sinead Cormack scored on the county team placed 4th. Under 12 boys – 9th club with 13 Daire O’Flaherty, 49 Shay Molloy, 56 Thomas Hayes, 61 Fiach Crowley. Daire O’Flaherty scored on the county team which placed 2nd.
Under 14 girls – 5th club with 7 Clodagh O’Callaghan, 38 Eimear Cormack, 62 Evelyn McEvoy, 82 Aine Foley, 97 Ellen Millea. Clodagh goes to the nationals. Under 14 boys – Just one athlete 55 Paul Millea.
Under 16 – No girls and just three boys. Ruairi McEvoy 10th and qualifies for national. 20 Paddy Kelly, 42 Eoghan ~O’Callaghan.
Under 18 girls – Seven entered. Two ran -33 A;exia Albertin Molinera, 59 Pia O’Grady.
