The US Colleges cross-country season is hotting up now. One college in the thick of it is Tulsa, Okloma – commonly known as the golden hurricanes. Today’s 8Km race – The American Athletic Conference – held in Florida was dominated by Tulsa whose men took the title for the eight consecqutive time and the ladies had their third consecquetive time. The men’s team had a strong Irish contingent with KCH duo Peter Lynch and Shay McEvoy and Waterford’s Michael Power. Tulsa’s Scott Beatie took the individual title in 23.49 with Peter Lynch a close second in 23.54. Shay was fifth in 24.04.2. Tulsa will now go forward to the Regional 10Km final in Iowa in two weeks time.
