The mile distance is infrequently run in modern times but running a sub 4 for the distance is still an attractive challenge for the middle distance runner. Shay McEvoy, representing Tulsa University, competed in the mile event at the Fayetteville Invitational in Arkansas tonight. With a fine run he finished second overall in the excellent time of 4.02.79. With this his first run of 2022 suggests the Sub 4 will be his before long. Congrats and best wishes.
