Scanlon Park, Loughboy, was the venue for this years Leinster Combined Events championships. This is an event which allows an athlete to experience without too much pressure a variety of activities. Alex Cullen was our sole medal winner. Competing in the under 13 event he placed second. Sena Young was fourth and Adam Slawinski was 6th. For the girls Blaithin Holden was 9th and Caoimhe O’Connor 14th. Three of our under 14 girls took part – Abbie O’Brien 5th and Orla Kenny and Katelyn Hennessy. Tara McGuire was 4th under 15. Hopefully all will be inspired by their participation to pursue multievents in future years.
