Well that is the QUESTION. Are you a club member? Did you compete in the County Championships? If not, did you let the coach that has been training you know that you would not be running? The Annual Primary Schools cross-country was held in ideal conditions in the Castle Park today. Large numbers turned out to do battle for their schools and in the endeavor to bring home the coveted shields. In the individual scoring St Canice's were very much to the fore winning five of the six races. For the boys Oisin Henderson, Patrick Lacey and Rory McEvoy were the winners of 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Ellie O'Carroll 5th class and Emily Smith 6th class scored for St Canice's girls. The St Senan's Annual Open cross-country held in Kilmacow today got the cross-country season up and running. The juvenile shiled was won by host club St Senan's. KCH had a small but quality representation. Lucy Maher was 7th in under 8. In the U9 races Ellen Daly won gold for the gilrs while Ryan Farrell was 6th in the boys race. Kate Maher and Martha Bergin placed 4th and 8th respectively in the girls under 10 race. 

The annual Duck Race was held on the Nore, between St Francis Bridge and John's bridge, today. Prizes for the winning ten ducks will be presented this week. The winning cards were sold by Eoin Deely, Mark O'Connell, Ella Richardson, Elena Bakkla, Ruairi, Eobhaand Ultan Hanrahan, James Kovar, Doireann Hogan, Katelyn Hennessy, Charlie byrne and Danny Heddon. Sellers prizes were won by Luke Dunne, Ryan Corcoran, Grainne Molloy and Paul Smith.
